    Two premier business databases, S&P NetAdvantage and IBISWorld, are now available at UT Tyler as free trials.

    S&P NetAdvantage (click for access) is a comprehensive source of business and investment information that offers online access to Standard & Poor's research-related products such as industry surveys, stock reports, corporation records, The Outlook, mutual fund reports and more. Trial ends February 18, 2013.

    The members of the Richard Borden Chapter Colonial Dames XVII Century have provided materials for a "Life in Colonial Times" display. A portion of the display is dedicated to Native American heritage in honor of Native American Heritage Month. The display is available on the 3rd floor of the library and will run through the month of November. Thanks go out to the Richard Borden Chapter Colonial Dames XVII Century for the display!

    group study pods on the second floor of the Muntz library.

    Three new group study pods are now available on the second floor of the library. Come sit in the comfy blue benches and work with friends to study for an exam or complete a group project together. The pods are first come, first served so there is no need to make a reservation or worry about having a minimum number of people.

    Each booth contains cushioned blue seating around a large circular table. They face a large LG monitor which can display the screen of any laptop hooked into the four VGA cables available in the silver center base. The table also has power outlets for your chargers. You can turn it on with a simple power button in the center of the table, and switch between multiple laptops by pressing the circular buttons on...

    In honor of Humans vs. Zombies, the Muntz Library is hosting a film screening of "Night of the Living Dead" (1968) on Wednesday, October 31st at 5pm in LIB401. Join us at 4:30pm for a brief presentation by Dr. Paul Streufert, Director of the Honors Program, on the zombie genre. The library will provide free popcorn and drinks.

    On Friday, October 12th, the new coffee shop at the library held a grand opening from 10am-12pm. Dining Services allowed students to contribute potential names for the shop. At 10:45, Jeanne Standley, Library Director, announced the new name of the coffee shop: "Study Grounds". The contributor of the winning name won coffee for the entire school year. Light refreshments and giveaways were provided courtesy of Dining Services. Be sure to drop by the Study Grounds while you are at the library and check out Dining Services on Facebook!
