    The Robert R. Muntz Library will be open regular hours for Friday April 10 and Saturday April 11. Friday hours are 7:30am to 5:00pm Saturday hours are 9:00am to 6:00pm The library will be closed on Sunday, April 12 due to the Easter observance. We wish everyone a safe and happy Easter holiday. We will reopen on Monday April 13 for regular hours.

    I had to read John Hope Franklin's book, From Slavery to Freedom, for a graduate course in African American history years ago. The book is considered a major text in African American history classes. Franklin passed away on March 25, 2009. He was 94 years old. You can read about Mr. Franklin:
