    The UT Tyler Robert R. Muntz Library presents the final screening of its September Project Film Series. September 2011 marks the 10th Anniversary of the events of September 11, and we are featuring a film series to invite the university and community at large to remember and reflect.Our last screening for the month features the documentary 9/12: From Chaos to Community.     The UT Tyler Robert R. Muntz Library has a book display in support of our September Project activities. We are remembering the events of September 11 during this month. The book and media display is designed to encourage people to remember, reflect, and learn more. Feel free to stop by the third floor of the library to view the display.     The UT Tyler Robert R. Muntz Library had a drawing during its Welcome Tent event during the first week of classes. We held a drawing for two gift baskets. Our winners are:

    • Kelsey Murphy (laundry survival guide)

    On September 1, 2011, representatives of the Mary Tyler Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) visited the Muntz Library to set up an excellent display in honor of Constitution Week. The theme for this year is “Educate! Commemorate! Celebrate!” The following members of the Mary Tyler Chapter of the NSDAR worked together to put together this patriotic exhibit:

This is our fourth year participating in this international grassroots event. In addition, September is also the month for Constitution Week (September 17-23) and for Banned Books Week (this year it falls on September 24 to October 1).     The UT Tyler Robert R. Muntz Library is currently working on a new design for its library website. We are looking for UT Tyler students to take part in a focus group. We are looking for students to provide comments, suggestions and other feedback related to the new web design. All majors and classification/year are welcome to participate. If we get enough response, additional focus groups may be formed. The focus group meeting will last about an hour. Student participants would view our current website and the new website design.
