The James Smith Chapter of the National Society of U.S. Daughters of 1812
have generously provided a display on the war of 1812. The display is
currently on view on the third floor of the Robert R. Muntz Library. It
is open for viewing during the library’s regular hours.
The display recognizes the observance of the 200th anniversary of the
War of 1812. June 18th was the date when war with Great Britain was
declared. This moment is often known as the 2nd War for Independence.
The display will be on view during the month of June 2012. We invite
our academic community as well as the town at large to view this
excellent and educational display.
