Selection of Library Resources

The professional librarians collaborate with the faculty in selecting new library materials. Available funding for new purchases varies from year to year. Funds are allocated among various subject disciplines based on current needs and at the library's discretion. A significant portion of the library's annual materials budget is required to maintain online database subscriptions, print serials, standing orders, and reference collection. As funds are available, the library selects new digital resources to meet the needs of academic programs. Librarians serving as liaisons to colleges and departments assist faculty by providing information on new library resources and services; by collaborating in selection and evaluation of resources; and by promoting the Library Instruction Program.

There are plans to provide an online form so that materials requests may be submitted through the library's website but for the time-being, please contact your Librarian Liaison with any requests. To find your department's librarian liaison, please see the Liaison Directory.
