University Archives and Special Collections

The University Archives and Special Collections Department (UASC), located on the ground floor of the Robert R. Muntz Library, retains materials of archival and/or historical interest to the University of Texas at Tyler and the surrounding community.

The UASC is currently open Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and by appointment. We are, however, very flexible and can be open to researchers on Saturdays and during evenings that the main library is open. In most cases we require little notice, but researchers making a special trip to the UASC are strongly advised to contact the University Archivist in advance.
